Any knitters out there?
Feb. 27th, 2002 12:58 pmI'm knitting my first project. I'm making a scarf.
About 25 rows ago (on row 3) I apparently dropped a stitch, and it's starting to unravel a little. I noticed about row 5, when the number of stitches became important, that I was a stitch short, and added on back in, not noticing the dropped one.
So the question is, What to I do to keep the scarf from unraveling from the dropped stitch? I would be able to fix it if it were not so far back and if I hadn't added in that other stitch. All things considered, ripping it out back to row 3 would be pointless. I might as well just start a new scarf and throw this part out, but I don't want to do that either. Can I do some funky weaving with an extra piece of yarn or something? I know it won't look perfect, but I'd like to be able to keep going without having to start completely over, and I'd like to have it look at least somewhat decent.
