In the news recently:

- A dad in Florida let his 7 year old son drive the family car on the road at night. The car did not have its headlights on, and the son ran a stop sign and hit another car. The dad, who was in the passenger seat, says he's not an irresponsible father. He only allowed his son to drive because he is such a good kid. The father was drunk at the time of the incident. The man has been charged with drunken driving, driving without a license, and letting an unlicensed person drive. The 7-year-old was charged with driving without a license, driving without headlights and running a stop sign.

- That's about the most positive story they had today. It sure was alot more cheerful than the story about the cremator who hid over 200 bodies he was supposed to cremate. The story didn't say why he didn't do the cremation, or what was in the urns he gave back to the families. The man is currently out on bond.

- Then there's the story about the girl who set fire to an apartment building in Greensboro killing 4 and injuring 6 others. No motive was given. She has been charged with first degree murder of one of the victims, with other charges pending.

- They also want to take out the farmland near the fairgrounds and ESA and put in apartments, shops and a hotel. Last I checked, most of that land belonged to and was used by the vet school or the agriculture department or something at NCSU. That area can't hold any more business. Traffic through there is awful as it is. Ok, so this one isn't as terrible as the others unless you're an environmentalist. I sure wish I was more of one. I hate to see what they're doing to the land.

About the story with the bodies, I've heard that it was because the thingie was broken. But some of these bodies are YEARS old!
