Hawk. Take 2.

artisanal_xaraI wanted to take a picture of the hawk. So I broke out the binoculars and the digicam and went outside. I took one pic just using the camera but the hawk is tiny and hard to find in the trees and background. Taking a picture through the binoculars isn't nearly as easy an using either device separately. I could get a picture through the contraption, but I couldn't aim at anything specific holding the camera to the lens. Maybe if I had a tripod for the binoc's and wasn't trying to hold the binoc's in one hand and the cam in the other hand.
I did get to see the hawk fly away. I almost missed it while I was messing with the camera. It's ok that he left tho, because the light's getting low, and I don't think I'd have gotten my aim right even in good lighting anyway.
I wonder why my first hawk post is here twice...
