I'm pretty sure it's a bad sign when the customer and the CSR are both in tears by the end of the call.

Now I'm on hold with Earthlink Cable, and I'm sure they won't be able to help either. We probably won't have net access by the end of the day the way things are going.

Damned hold. I've been on the phone for over an hour now. I've got stuff that I have to do in Raleigh by 1 pm today. I haven't showered yet, and with no sign of ever finishing this call I may not get done in time.

After all that time on hold I got transfered back to Fucking Dialup customer service. That's who I was talking to before I got transfered.
