We currently have 17 adjacent neighbors, if you count ones directly above, below, to one side, and on diagonals from our apartment. At the moment at least 2 of them are creating excessive noise pollution in our apartment. We are also situated such that there are 2 heavily traveled roads intersecting within view of our windows, and a train track just on the other side of one of those roads. In the new apartment we will have 3 adjacent neighbors using the same standards for determining adjacency. Furthermore, the railroad is quit a bit further and we are considerably removed from any road large enough to carry more than a few cars per hour. The likelihood of noise pollution is reduced greatly from each of these sources.
