I wonder about the cats sometimes. They're on this weight control diet. They have diet food, and they get a rationed amount each day. Faye is more overweigh than Grace. However, Grace is the one who goes insane whenever the food dish is empty. She runs back and forth between me and the food dish, whining and head butting me until I feed her. She's the one that pigs out when they get fed. So why is Faye the one that's overweight?
Took my car to get a new battery today. Major headache, but I won't go into that right now. Anyway, the waiting room in the Sears Auto Center was living hell. Finally when the car was almost done we decided we couldn't take it any more, so we went out and braved the sun. Good lord it was hot! There was almost no shade, and I would have died from sunburn if we'd spent the whole time out there. But then it got really windy, and we started hearing lots of thunder. It started getting dark, and the temperature dropped between 10 and 20 degrees, I would guess. All this in just a few short minutes. Oh, it was wonderful. Heaven standing under the clouds feeling the temperature drop so quickly.

The guy who seemed to be a supervisor of some sort was really friendly. He called out to George something about how it looked like it was going to storm soon, to which George replied that it had really cooled down. He was a really friendly guy, without being annoying, and his smile was so genuine. When I got in my car a couple minutes later he beamed a huge smile at me and told me to drive safely, and I knew he really meant it. I said something about enjoying the cool weather, and he looked over his shoulder into the garage and said Yeah, his guys could really use it.

I really love someone who seems so happy and genuine. I love someone who is so clearly concerned for others' safety and comfort. I love a blustery stormy day.
