I wonder about the cats sometimes. They're on this weight control diet. They have diet food, and they get a rationed amount each day. Faye is more overweigh than Grace. However, Grace is the one who goes insane whenever the food dish is empty. She runs back and forth between me and the food dish, whining and head butting me until I feed her. She's the one that pigs out when they get fed. So why is Faye the one that's overweight?

Grace goes insane when the food dish is empty because Faye always eats all the food (and therefor gets fat off of it) and Grace never gets any? :)

Nice try, but no. I see Grace eating all the time. When we put the food in the dish Faye will come have a nibble, but she doesn't eat that much. Grace, on the other hand, pigs out. She eats all the time. I sort of worry about Faye getting enough to eat, even though she doesn't seem to mind the dish being empty nearly so much.

We have the same problem, except the one who eats all the time is the one who is fatter (Lucy weighs less, but is smaller framed and bigger of belly). We had to switch them off of the diet food because she was apparently prone to UTIs, and needs special food, but now Tigger has put back on a bit of the weight he lost. :-/ I'm not sure what to do.

Yeah, it's not easy having cats with differing dietary needs in the same house is it? It's not exactly like you can say "Tigger, you eat this food, and Lucy, you have to eat that one. No sharing!" I don't know, it might almost work with Grace if they weren't rationed. She always eats from the same bowl (in one of those double dishes) if there's food in both. Faye sort of sticks to the other bowl just so she doesn't annoy Grace.
