Jun. 11th, 2002 05:14 pmOh my goodness. Cleaning the aquarium is SUCH a pain in the behind!!!!!
First of all, getting all that water out of the damned thing is soooo annoying. I made a siphon to get the water out using air tubing. But it was very slow, and still didn't get all the water off the bottom. We washed the gravel in the shower, then let it dry on the porch. Thank goodness for 95 degree, low humidity days, for once.
The worst part was the cats and the frogs. We put the froggies in the plastic cage with some water and rocks. It worked fine except we couldn't keep the cats away. All went reasonably well, until George and I both left the room, and Faye knocked the plastic cage with the frogs over. My poor babies. They were ok, but there was water everywhere, and I imagine they were quite traumatized.
We need to feed the frogs tonight, but I want them to rest for a while first. They've had quite a stressful day.
Speaking of stress, it's been pretty stressful and tiring for me too. I think we might go swimming after all, to relax us a little.
