artisanal_xaradem computers is bein weird tonight. foo and miranda both went down within 6 minutes of each other. about the same time, orb's terminal proved to be nonfunctioning. mebbe it wasn't working before and we didn't notice, who knows? so, orb was being slow and annoying so i decided to log out and log back in, to see if that fixed terminal and other problems. it took a very long time to log back in. several minutes at least. i left and fed the frogs because i was tired of waiting.
george is thinking the name server on oort was having problems. then miranda and foo both kernel panicked because of it. when we tried to use orb's terminal to see about foo and miranda, it of course tried to use the name server. thus orb got very confused too.
