Gardening. Part II
Mar. 20th, 2002 10:01 pmYay! Is there some sort of gardening instinct that some people just have? I've really got the gene for it if there is.
We went and bought a huge pot for the morning glories today. We also got 2 6-packs of plants. One is a little blue flower, and one is a variety of red, white, and green leafy plants. I don't remember what they're called, but they're pretty common. I ended up using all the pots I had, even the junk ones. Except, of course, the ones already designated for mornings and moons and lettuce. That's ok, I like my new plants. (And I like having a pretty porch. I keep thinking that Chris will be envious)
I filled up the bucket of water. I think I may need a bigger bucket, or a hose or something this year. The pine tree alone is needing tons of water. I looked at it today, and it's really dry even though I've been giving it lots of water regularly. It's a real shame that we don't get any of the rain water on the porch. I guess we're happy enough about that tho when we sit and watch those wonderful summer rain storms.
I also filled up the humming bird feeder today. Ok, well, I made the food but I haven't put it out just yet. I hope I have more humming birds this summer. My 2 or 3 from last year were great, but I've got humming bird envy every time I go visit my mom.
